                 Figurtive Language

Personifacation- The atttribution of apersonal nature or human charcterstics to something non-human.

 

Simile - The figure of speech that expresses the resemblemce between things of different kinds.

 

Alliteration- Use of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closley connected words.

 

Metaphors - A figure of speech in which a word or pharse is applied to an object or action to which isn't literally appicable.
 

Examples

Personifacation: Mrs. Starch would ponce swiftly.

 

Similes: When the bell wrang,She unfloded stiffly ,like a crane, and rose to her height of nearly six feet.

 

Metaphors- "I was hoping for a sea of hands" "Were in bromeliad heaven right now" "It's a jungle out there"
